The Rings
Things were pretty fraught - we had worked hard to try and organise people's trip over and organise the wedding after only visiting the venue the once, only 5 weeks before. Things had come together and the Hayman staff had been great in doing all the last touches. My suit had arrived from Brisbane but without any shoes! So a drama ensued about whose I was going to wear. We said goodbye to each other in the morning and that was it. The next time we would see each other would be at the altar. Scary.
The Ceremony
The ceremony went well, although I had to stay at the altar for 5 minutes staring out over the Whitsunday Passage whilst Holly turned up. I was not allowed to turn around until she was by my side and it seemed like a lifetime. Holly looked gorgeous and I was feeling nervous as she realised when she held my hand which was dripping with sweat. We had written the ceremony ourselves on Magnetic Island, but for 5 minutes we did not really know it was happening. I fluffed my lines only once by declaring I would take Holly as my "wawful leaded wife". Colline, our celebrant, had organised a candle ceremony and Jono and Deb did a reading each. Everyone signed the Marriage Certificate and we were ready for champagne and some cake-cutting on the balcony.

The Evening
After the ceremony, the drinks on the balcony and the canopes at The Beach Pavilion, we moved on to a private room in "La Fontaine" where we had a beautiful dinner. Unfortunately, as a most of us were worst for wear at this point, I don't seem to have any photos of the occasion, although we had the video running (out of focus) all night. We then moved on to the Full Moon Party where we had a shaky dance. We had planned this day to be on the full moon, so it was great to be on the beach under the moonlight at the end of the night.
